Number 11 when engaged in conversation do not start reading your email on the blackberry, and then replying
This is a great list of "do's/dont's" for mobile phone etiquette. I recently spent a couple bucks in an Emily Post's book about Etiquette in Business, which actually bases itself in logical and common sense principles which, when applied to certain situations, produce this do's/dont's guidelines. In addition to number 1, it might be good to announce to the table participants that you're expecting a call, and excusing yourself from the table when it arrives. Greetings from Venezuela!
He wasn't trying to spell "whining," he was spelling "whinging." Correctly, too. There are other varieties of English besides American, you know.
So therefore, the real #12 is: 12. Leave your cell phone where it belongs, AT HOME ON THE CHARGER, unless you have a reasonable expectation you might actually need to receive or place an important call while you're out.
That's a bit extreme. If cell phones belonged at home, then why not get a land line? Why have cel phones at all?
